2021 Ford F-250 SD

The 2021 Ford F-250 is available in six hard-working trims, including the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. All F-250 trims include tow hooks, cargo-area tie-downs, and privacy glass. Except for the XL, all trims also include automatic high beams and heated exterior mirrors. Available options include a moonroof and skid plates (four-wheel-drive models only).

You can choose an F-250 in one of 11 exciting paint colors. Paint options include Oxford White, Race Red, Iconic Silver, Rapid Red, Star White, Stone Gray, Velocity Blue, Agate Black, Antimatter Blue, Carbonized Gray, and Lithium Gray.

The standard engine for the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims is a 6.2-liter flex-fuel V-8. These trims can also be outfitted with a 475 horsepower, 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 Turbo Diesel that produces a whopping 1,050 pound-feet of torque or a 430-horsepower, 7.3-liter Pushrod V-8 that produces 475 pound-feet of torque.

The XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum engines are paired with a heavy-duty TorqShift G six-speed transmission that includes progressive range select, full manual modes, and a tow/haul mode for increased power and control. An optional ten-speed automatic transmission is available, with selectable drive modes such as normal, slippery, tow/haul, eco, and deep sand/snow. These trims are rear-wheel drive, with available four-wheel drive.

The top-of-the-line Limited is powered by the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 paired to a ten-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard on all Limited trims.

F-250s have a maximum payload of 4,260 pounds for gas engines and 3,940 pounds for diesel engines. Properly equipped, the F-250 has a gas gooseneck and 5th-wheel towing maximum of 19,500 pounds. Diesel engines have a maximum towing capacity of 22,800 pounds. All models include roll stability control and trailer sway control.

The King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited model also include trailer reverse guidance, Ford's Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System, and a surround-view camera. An available integrated electric winch offers 12,000 pounds of winching power when you need it most.

The F-250 Super Duty lineup provides lots of seating options, including high-quality vinyl, cloth, and leather upholstery. The second-row bench can be split several ways, with many options providing flip-up or fold-down capabilities. The King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims include heated and ventilated seats, remote start, and dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control.

Infotainment options abound in the 2021 F-250. All trims include a touch-screen display, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth streaming audio, 911 Assist, hands-free phone, USB ports, and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls. The Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims also include a Bang and Olufsen ten-speaker audio system, SiriusXM Traffic Plus, Travel Link, wireless charging, and navigation.

Every F-250 features automatic high beams, a rear-view camera, advanced airbags, LATCH, Ford's SOS Post Crash Alert System, and remote keyless entry. High-end models also include blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert including trailer coverage, a center high-mounted stop light camera, pre-collision assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keeping alert, and a reverse sensing system.
