2021 Ford F-150

The 2021 Ford F-150 has eight trim packages to choose from, including the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. All trims feature wiper-activated headlights, automatic high beams, tow hooks, and a capless fuel filler. The Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor also include BoxLink, Ford's customizable pickup box system with ramps, dividers, and storage bins. The Limited includes Ford's unique power tailgate that has a tailgate step and unique work surface.

The Ford F-150 lineup features several impressive engines. The XL, XLT, and Lariat have a 290 horsepower, 3.3-liter V-6 engine that produces 265 pound-feet of torque. The King Ranch and Platinum trims have a 400 horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 410 pound-feet of torque. The Limited and Tremor have a 400 horsepower, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that produces 500 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor has a 450 horsepower, twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that produces 510 pound-feet of torque (14,000 pounds towing). Optional engines include a 325 horsepower, 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6, a 250 horsepower and a 3.0-liter PowerStroke Turbo Diesel V-6.

The 2021 F-150 is the first one to be available with a hybrid engine. The 430 horsepower, 3.5-liter PowerBoost Full Hybrid V-6 produces a whopping 570 pound-feet of torque.

The standard transmission is a 10-speed automatic. The Tremor and Raptor transmissions include progressive range select. This feature allows you to stay in standard driving mode or switch to sport mode. With sport mode, you can choose between automatic sport-tuned shifting or manual shifting. The Tremor and Raptor have four-wheel drive. All others are rear-wheel drive with available four-wheel drive. Four-wheel-drive models have electronic-shift-on-the-fly and neutral towing capability.

Properly equipped, the 2021 Ford F-150 has a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and a maximum payload of 3,325 pounds. All trims include hill start assist, curve control, roll stability control, and traction control. The F-150's Dynamic Hitch Assist feature uses the rearview camera to display the area behind your truck and provides dynamic sightlines to help you attach a trailer.

The trail-ready Raptor has Trail Control with Trail 1-Pedal Drive. Trail Control is cruise control for off-road driving. Trail Control automatically handles the throttle and brakes when steering through extreme off-road conditions.

Seat covering options include premium vinyl, cloth, and leather. Models with a rear bench have several possible configurations, including flip-up and fold-flat seats. All models include a touch-screen display, Bluetooth audio streaming, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot. The King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited models include navigation and a top-of-the-line Bang and Olufsen sound system with HD radio technology.

All models include a suite of advanced airbags, LATCH in the second row, pre-collision assist, automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, and the SOS Post-Crash Alert System. The King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims also include rain-sensing wipers, adaptive steering, intelligent adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, intersection assist, a reverse sensing system, blind-spot monitoring, and cross-traffic alert with trailer coverage.
